Road Bicycles
Road bicycles come in all shapes and sizes. There are bikes for racers, bikes for high performance riders who don't want to race, entry level bikes, commuting and comfort bikes and everything in between. Road bikes also come in a large range of materials, from carbon fibre to aluminum, from steel to titanium and combination of all of these. Each style has it's advantages and disadvantages and we can help you decide which is right for you.
Racing bicycles can range in price from $1000 for a basic set up to well over $5000 for a Tour De France grade bicycle. Racing bicycles are built for performance first and comfort second.
Sport riding bicycles can range from race-like performers to flat handle bar bikes that look a little like mountain bikes but have the speed of a road bicycle.
Comfort bicycles are built with comfort first in mind and speed second. They will generally have larger seats, high handlebars and often have supension forks and seatposts. These bikes are sometimes called Cross' bikes which can be confused in name with bikes used for cyclocross.
Commuting bicycles can encompass traits of all these bicycles depending on the needs and wants of the specific user.
